Brief Description

PDF scan of a manuscript written by John Scott Sanderson as part of his Botany course for his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 1849. The manuscript is titled ‘The Origin and Development of the Embryo in Phanerogamous Plants’ and received a prize. Part of the essay was reproduced in the Transactions of the Botanical Society of Edinburgh the next year, when it was read at a meeting on the 14th February 1850.
